How To- Prepare for a Recession

*Past performance does not guarantee future results.

Have you ever seen this disclaimer? It is usually found in financial investment documents, but can apply to any situation, even life in general.

However, for the sake of this post I am going to focus on all the female entrepreneurs out there.

You have done extremely well to date. Your business is thriving right now. But, some of you have never been through a recession before, and you are unsure of how to survive, let alone thrive in it.

Whether good or bad, your future is not dependent on your past. Regardless of what you have done to date, it may or may not work going forward. The good news is that you can choose at any given moment to change your trajectory.

When it comes to money, the majority make no changes. They try to find what works and then stay that course for as long as they can. This works as long as the economy is fairly stable. But, as soon as the economy starts to falter, they are in trouble.

For the small percentage who are proactive, their world changes. They:

– feel more confident

– take empowered action

– see results

– adjust as necessary

– pass this knowledge and wisdom on to others who watch them

– change the future

I was once like you. I knew I wanted something better and that I needed to know more, but was not sure how to start. I read countless books and articles, listened to tapes, even went to college to earn my Bachelors in Accounting and MBA. And I experimented with what I learned.

As a result, I am in the position now (30 years later) to be that go-to money expert (“money mom”) for my daughter, her friends, and countless women who have become friends along the way. I love being able to help them cut the learning curve so they can make great choices for themselves and understand why they are doing what they are doing. It is from helping them that I became a financial educator and realized my purpose.

I am on a mission to help at least a million people by 2030 and help end generational poverty through financial education. The fastest and easiest way to accomplish this is to teach other women everything I know to create that ripple that becomes a tsunami (but a good one!).

Given the changes going on in the world economy I have decided to focus specifically on thriving female entrepreneurs who want to recession-proof their businesses.

If you are one of the small percentage of women who have decided to thrive through the recession, email me for a free recession review call.
