We know this is an unusual time for the housing market. I would almost go so far as to say “unprecedented”, but that term has been used to the point of being meaningless…
This week was all about homeownership, but not the run-of-the-mill boring stuff most people (including me) post about, but what you need to consider today, especially given not only the housing market, but also the cost of building materials.
As a recap of the week, we covered:
Monday was all about thinking outside the box when trying to find a house in today’s market:
Tuesday I gave you an almost foolproof way to create a shopping list, budget, and timeline for your home improvement projects:
Wednesday was about getting your financial ducks in a row, no matter how impossible it may seem. I threw in a little tough love for good measure:
Thursday was about the fear of losing your home, whether the threat is immediate or it is a worry gnawing in the back of your brain:
Home ownership is still seen as “the American dream” by most people. Whether or not it is right for you is a different subject. But, if you want to be a homeowner, I am here to support you and show you how to make it happen. I have helped a number of people realize their dreams and I would love to help you, too. Money Moms know “teamwork makes the dream work” so they reach out for help when it can help them shortcut their way to success (because, let’s face it, moms never have enough time!).
If you would like to see if you might qualify for a mortgage, and cover your options for making yourself a stronger candidate, I have a two-session package where we go over everything the mortgage companies look at, figure out the ratios the mortgage companies are concerned with, and create a plan to fast track you to the “loan accepted” stamp of approval. During this process you will also learn the basic lingo so any loan officers you contact will be impressed by your knowledge.
This is covered in the Money Mom Academy, but if you only want this part of it, email me to schedule your appointment. For more information about the Money Mom Academy, email me or check out the end of the posts from this week.
