Everyone says they should teach more about money, finances, and investing in school, but how many people actually take the time to LEARN about money, finances, and investing as adults?
Let’s face it, how much we know about money and finances will affect our quality of life and can mean the difference between struggling until we die or having an amazing life, doing everything we want to do.
So, why the disconnect?
One word: MINDSET
While we can come up with all kinds of pretty excuses, or what Derek Rydall uses is “rationalize”- telling yourself “rational lies”, the reason behind the excuses and rationalizations are your mindset.
From the time you are born (and even before you were born) until you were developed enough to start questioning, you heard and observed millions of pieces of data. It was up to you to make sense of it and use it to survive.
Some of this was really good- extremely hot or cold things hurt, playing in traffic or falling long distances can kill, be careful what you eat…
Some was helpful as a young, dependent creature- people are nicer if you make them smile, do what is expected of you, be seen and not heard…
And, some was misunderstood or taken out of context- money makes people fight, money is hard to get, nice things are for other people, life is unfair, you cannot teach an old dog new tricks, once you graduate your education is complete…
Here is the thing. There are thousands of really knowledgeable people teaching about money, financing, and investing all over the internet. Far fewer are teaching money mindset (but those numbers are increasing).
Some of this is really good information. And some is absolute garbage.
Your job is to figure out which is which.
Now, you can DIY, which I completely support, or you can “stand on the shoulders of giants” and cut your learning curve.
If you want to DIY, I cover everything you need to know on my personal page, in my free facebook community, and in my free website. You just have to read and take action.
If you do not want to spend a lot of time DIYing it, I have paid options that help you cut that learning curve. And, since I am all about efficiencies, you can bet I will get you to where you want to go as quickly as possible.
But, while I can teach you about money, finances, investing, and money mindset, I will not beg you to take advantage of anything I have to offer. You have to overcome whatever mindset block is currently standing in your way and ASK.
DM me to see if I can help you achieve your goals, whether it is a very specific topic or so you can become the go-to money guru in your circle and help your family and friends.
And, if you think education is expensive, believe me, ignorance is far more costly.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.
