How To- Get Your Affairs in Order

Tomorrow there will be all kinds of reminders and remembrances that you never know how things will change in the blink of an eye.

Take time to make sure your affairs are in order.

Create or update:
– your will
– your living will
– your life insurance, retirement, and other account beneficiaries
– your healthcare power of attorney
– advance directives
– account numbers, locations, and passwords (keep these safe, but somewhere they can be found if needed)
– current medication list
– pertinent medical history
– names, addresses, and phone numbers of next of kin and/or emergency contacts
– names and phone numbers of preferred hospital, primary doctor, doctors you are seeing, attorney, financial advisors, and spiritual leaders
– groups you actively participate in or volunteer for
– DD-214 (if you served in the military)
– any other information you really want someone to have and/or know should you be unable to communicate
