How To- Reverse Engineer Success

Would you like to be that 94 year old woman, living independently, and playing in a band?

I was chatting with a friend today and she asked me about the picture you see in my background.

I have had this picture for a long time. It was my great-grandmother’s. I cannot tell you how it came to be in my possession, but I have liked it (and had it in my room) for almost as long as I can remember. (I apparently had a habit as a youngster for magically making things my own)

My great-grandmother was a great role model, although we did not realize it when we were younger. She was never the “Betty White, teach you how to cook and tell you stories” kind of grandmother, she did live life on her terms. Right up until she had to go to a nursing home at 94/95.

In her 90s she was living independently and playing in a band.

She was not worrying about how to pay her rent, her prescriptions, or her utilities.

Are you planning to live life on your terms in your golden years or are you expecting your children to have to take care of you?

Do you want to be able to play and build happy memories with your grandchildren and great grandchildren or do you want to be remembered as the grandparent who caused their parents so much stress and strain?

The decisions you make today affect your future. Not just a year or five years from now, but for decades.

And, while I mostly focus on finances, this goes for every other area of your life- your health, your relationships, your spirituality, etc.

Sit down and think about what your happy, healthy, carefree 94 year old self would say are the foundations of your success? What words of wisdom would you pass on to your lineage?

Write them down.

Next, think of what you need to learn so you can accomplish those goals.

Then seek out the experts in those fields who can answer your questions and help you succeed.

The best part of the world today is that you have all of these people and resources in your hand!

No excuses. No roadblocks. Just a positive mindset.
