Okay, so another fun exercise… with no worksheets!
This is an expansion of yesterday’s visualization.
Have the family sit around the table with a blank sheet of paper or even a sheet of posterboard.
Decide what year and date it is in the future.
Now have everyone go around the table and say what they think everyone will be doing on that date.
Where will you be (both individually and as a family)?
What will you all be doing?
What will you look like?
What kinds of cars will you have?
At the end of the exercise you will have a great picture of how y’all, as a family, see your short-term destination.
If you want to take it a step further discuss ways you can actually get there, whether through education, saving, investing, monetizing your talents, or whatever.
Note: if your kids are a little older, this could be a family vacation planned for after they have left the house. Make sure everyone is included in the picture.
