This one is extra appropriate for me this week as I move aged manure from one pile to where I am going to put my new garden (shout out to Nadia at EmbracingHarvest.com who taught me how to double my gardening season!).
Anyone who has livestock knows that if you leave the manure in a pile in one place it will smell and attract flies. But if you spread it out it fertilizes plants and makes them grow much better.
