Most of us pay taxes, but do you really understand how your tax amount is calculated?

Today we are going to discuss tax rates (also known as brackets) so you can understand how your tax due is calculated.

Please note this exercise is a very simple look at the tax code and does not take into consideration tax credits and deductions.In a separate post (because fb does not allow me to have a document and a video)

Below I have included an google spreadsheet with levels from “beginner” (which assumes you know how to add, subtract, multiply, and multiply using percentages) to “advanced” as well as an answer key.
