“It’s only $10”
“I don’t know where the money goes”
“My friends are sabotaging me”
“No one is buying [whatever it is you are trying to sell]”
“My boss never recognizes me”
“I just have to look at food and I gain weight” (okay, maybe this one is just me 😉 )
Do you know what all of these have in common?
They are all roadblocks to your success.
Because your brain believes what you repeatedly tell it.
And it loves to prove you right.
So, how do you flip the script?
Turn that disempowering thought into an empowering one.
“I would rather put that $10 toward my goal”
“I am on top of my finances”
“My friends are my best allies” (this may take getting new friends)
“People are lining up around the block to buy my _____”
“My boss appreciates everything I do and I am well compensated for it”
I need some ideas for the last one…
Write the new ideas down, repeat often, and remind yourself of them when you find yourself thinking or saying one of those old, disempowering thoughts.
Until it becomes a habit.
You CAN do this.
What are some of your go-to disempowering thoughts? Do you need help coming up with a new one?
