It is recommended we set aside at least 5-10% of our income for giving or tithing.
But, even as little as $1 per paycheck can have profound psychological benefits and can change your financial life.
For those of you who set aside funds specifically for giving/tithing, have you changed where/who you are giving your money to?
I have found that I have changed my giving habits, mostly because my daily life has changed.
For example, I like to give very large tips, but now I am not eating out.
I have started asking people I know are currently unemployed or underemployed to do jobs I normally would do myself specifically so I can help them out.
